Bollywood actors Sachiin Joshi and Esha Gupta will be playing the leads in Yaar Ivan, directed by T Satya, who has made a career out of remaking Tamil films in Telugu. He has directed the Telugu versions of Mouna Guru, Siva Manasula Sakthi and Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. “Sachiin really liked the Telugu version of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and wanted me to do a similar film. We settled on a murder mystery that centres around a pro-Kabaddi league player. How the protagonist gets embroiled in the murder of a girl forms the rest of the story,” says Satya.

Yaar Ivan, which is also being shot in Telugu, has comedian Sathish, Prabhu and Kishore playing important roles. Thaman is the composer of this film.
