Recently, AR Rahman recorded a melody number with Shreya Ghoshal and Kailash Kher for the Vijay-starrer Mersal. Posting this picture on Instagram, Kailash wrote, "Always delightful to see you, Shreya Ghoshal. Recorded a beautiful track for our very own AR Rahaman for a Tamil movie." 

We hear that the Mersal audio will be launched on August 20. Lyricist Vivek has penned all five songs in the film. Directed by Atlee, Mersal will have Vijay playing a triple role for the first time. The latest information is that he plays an ardent fan of MGR. The film's shoot is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai
