The first schedule of the Vijay-directorial Karu starring Sai Pallavi in the lead has been wrapped up in Oragadam recently. According to sources, it’s a Tamil-Telugu bilingual horror film, which will mark the debut of the Premam actress in Tamil cinema.

“The story has a universal connect and explores the relationship between a mother and a daughter. The team shot continuously in July, and we are looking to complete the film by August. We still have limited portions to be shot in and around the city. Karu is Vijay’s quickest project,” added the source.

Lyca Productions is bankrolling this project, which has cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Antony. Naga Shourya of Jyo Achyutananda fame plays one of the pivotal roles in the film.
