'Himalayathile Kashmalan has a comic-book feel’

Express Features

Himalayathile Kashmalan, a venture of a group of newbies, will hit the screens this week. According to director Abhiram Suresh Unnithan, the movie is a ‘no-brain’ entertainer.

Himalayathile Kashmalan has a retro-comedy feel. The characters have a caricature feel and are slightly exaggerated. Though the movie has a serious incident, at its centre, the treatment and movie-making pattern are comical. One can expect a fun-ride,”  says Abhiram.

The team, brimming with fresh ideas, thinks making a movie with a whole lot of debutants had its share of challenges, but they would like to see its positive side. “We were open to ideas and suggestions. There was a team spirit and it worked well for us. But then, somewhere along the way, we really liked the idea of working with only new people,” says Abhiram.

According to producer Nandu Mohan, the chemistry the whole cast and crew shared with each other helped a lot. Himalayathile Kashmalan has Anand Manmadhan, Anoop Ramesh, Dheeraj Denny and Jins Bhaskar in lead roles. While Jemin Jom Ayyaneth cranks the camera, Anand Radhakrishnan, Abhiram and Nandu have scripted the movie.

Himalayathile Kashmalan has been made under the banner of Over The Moon Films.
