Vijay Mohan, who has worked in more than 25 films as an assistant director, has turned a filmmaker with Seemathanni that has Vidharth and Vijay Vasanth in the lead. The film was officially launched by director Sargunam, of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame, in the city recently.

"The story revolves around the lives of two orphan-friends and a character named Thangamari (played by Chandini Tamilarasan). How their lives intersect forms the plot. Subhiksha of Kadugu fame also plays an important role," says a source.

Seemathanni is produced by C Prem Kumar. The film has Yogi Babu and Hello Kandasamy in supporting roles.
