The shooting of Vishnu Vishal-Tamannaah starrer Pon Ondru Kandein will begin by August. An official remake of the sleeper hit, Pelli Choopulu, the film is bankrolled by Gautham Menon under his banner, Ondraaga Entertainment.

The story is about how the lives of Vinod (played by Vishnu) and Ambika (played by Tamannaah) get changed after a meeting is organised by their families. However, as Vishnu had told CE earlier, the script has likely been tweaked to suit the sensibilities of the Tamil audience.

The first look poster was released sometime ago featuring caricatures of the lead pair. Directed by Rajathandhiram 2 director Senthil Veerasamy, the film has music by Darbuka Siva.
