Arjai, who was seen in Naan Sigappu Manithan and Naaigal Jaakirathai, is confident that his latest releases, Pandigai and Thiri will earn him more substantial roles in Tamil cinema.

In a statement to the press, he says it has been a struggle since 2009 to land solid roles. "However, I'm getting good feedback for my roles in both films, and I'm hopeful these will take me to the next level in my career. I want to position myself as a character artiste," he added.

The actor says he's grateful to director Feroz for having given him such a powerful role in Pandigai. "It was a challenging role. I learnt mixed martial arts; which is why the action sequences looked so real. Special thanks to stunt choreographers Anbu and Arivu for making the action scenes stand out!"
