Vishwanth, who featured in Pa Ranjith’s Kabali, will now be playing the lead role in his next titled, Onaaiygal Jaakirathai. The film is produced by S Bioscope Productions and directed by JPR, who has previously made short films.

Vishwanth says, “I play a character with grey shades. I’m  jubilant that the role gives me a lot of space to perform. It is tough to portray both  positive and negative shades at the same time. The film is a horror-thriller, and was the most impressive of all the scripts I heard after Kabali."

The film also features his Kabali co-star Riythvika, A Venkatesh, Nithya and others. The puja of the film was held recently and the shoot has already commenced. The film has music by Adheesh Uthriyan and cinematography by Mahesh K Dev.
