Express Features

The recently released Gautham Karthik-starrer Ivan Thanthiran, which received largely positive reviews, is running successfully without much of a hindrance from the four day theatre strike in the state. It's now known that the film will be remade in Telugu, and the film's director Kannan will direct the remake as well. It's also known that the lead pair hasn't been finalised for remake, though talks are on with the top stars of Telugu cinema.

Kannan, who previously remade the Bollywood blockbusters Jab We Met and Delhi Belly in Tamil, as Kanden Kadhalai and Settai, respectively, will be debuting in the Telugu film industry with Ivan Thanthiran's remake.
