Trailer for Peter Jackson's next attached to Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The trailer of Mortal Engines, written and produced by The Lord of the Rings director, will be screened with the new Star Wars film

Peter Jackson, the man behind the film adaptations of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit, announced on his Facebook page yesterday that the teaser trailer for his next production, Mortal Engines, an adaptation of British author Philip Reeves' Young Adults book series has been attached to Star Wars: The Last Jedi and will be unveiled starting this Friday.

Mortal Engines, co-written by Jackson and directed by his former assistant Christian Rivers, and will be released next year. The story in the book revolves around Tom Natsworthy, a teenager in a futuristic steampunk London society. His city and many others are being run by engines/wheels that roam and feed off the resources of smaller cities around the planet.

Scheduled to come out on December 14, 2018, Mortal Engines stars Robert Sheehan, Hera Hilmar, Leila George, Hugo Weaving (in a mysterious role), Stephen Lang, Patrick Malahide, Colin Salmon and Rege-Jean Page.
