The Vijay Sethupathi starrer, Puriyatha Puthir, has had its fair share of hurdles. Formerly titled Mellisai, the long pending film was finally supposed to see the light of day on September 1. But a few minutes back, there were rumours that the film was issued an interim stay on its release till September 14.

When contacted by CE, producer J Satish Kumar had this to say: "The interim stay was true but everything has been sorted out and the film is releasing as scheduled tomorrow."
