Shooting of the magnum opus Kurukshetra has already commenced, and is proceeding briskly in Hyderabad. Sneha, Hariprriya and Reginna Cassandra are among the heroines featured in the movie, and the latest addition to the epic period drama is model-turned-actress Aditi Arya. The actress will be playing the role of Uttara, wife of Abhimanyu, played by Nikhil Kumar.

Aditi, who was crowned Miss India World in 2015, entered tinsel town with Puri Jagganadh’s film Ism, where she starred opposite Nandamuri Kalyanram. Apart from walking the ramp, the actress is also a research analyst. Kurukshetra will mark her Kannada debut, and she is to join the team anytime soon.

Nikhil is being trained by Baahubali stuntman

Meanwhile, Nikhil Kumar is leaving no stone unturned to play the role of Abhimanyu. He has already set camp in Hyderabad, where he is training in sword fights and horse riding. “He is being trained by a fight master who choreographed the stunts for Baahubali,” says a source from the production house.
