Director Hemanth M Rao is known for his selection of artistes for his films, and he set a clear example in his very first venture, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu that featured Rakshit Shetty, Anant Nag and Sruthi Hariharan.

His second outing Kavalu Daari produced by Puneeth Rajkumar, under PRK Films, features Rishi in the lead - the actor, whose is currently basking in the success of his debut, Operation Alamelamma. And the next artiste to come on board is Sidhartha Maadhyamika. Apparently his performance in Shuddhi as a cop caught Hemanth's attention and he chose to cast him in Kavalu Daari.

"Basically he is a very good actor and he fits the role of a government employee in my film. When I met him, he also came across as an interesting person to me. So I decided to rope him in," says Hemanth who is now scouting for a female lead, and plans to finalise before he kick starts the film from September 1st week.

Kavalu Daari has music by Charan Raj.
