It appears that Dhanush has obtained the remake rights of Bollywood film, Barfi, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. In an earlier interview, he had confessed to loved everything about the film. He had also expressed interest in remaking it in the South.

A reliable source says, “It’s true that Dhanush sir has been interested in the film’s remake for quite some time now. But he can’t start with the project just yet because he is occupied with multiple films including his maiden Hollywood flick, Vada Chennai, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Maari 2 and an untitled film with Aanand L Rai.”

Meanwhile, the actor's VIP-2 is hitting the screens this week.
