Yuvan on board for Sandakozhi 2

The long-delayed sequel to Sandakozhi is finally set to start rolling, and word has it that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be the film's composer

Lingusamy was supposed to begin shooting Sandakozhi 2 long ago, but the project which was announced in 2015, was delayed until now due to a misunderstanding between the director and Vishal. Now, Lingusamy has revealed that the shoot will begin on August 31, and we learn that a huge set is being built in the city to this end. A source close to the unit tells us that the film will be shot for 40 days continuously and has been planned for a Pongal release next year.

Lingusamy, who also directed the original in 2005, is said to have postponed his bilingual with Allu Arjun, to finish this Sandakozhi sequel.

Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead in this film, with Raj Kiran and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar already on board. Previously, it was said that D Imman would score the music. However, reports now say that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be the film’s composer. Bankrolled by Vishal Film Factory, Sandakozhi 2 will have Shakti of Ivan Vera Mathriri as the cinematographer.
