Renji Panicker, who is having a great stint as an actor, has gone back to what he does best, writing. Apparently, he is busy scripting three big projects, including Lelam 2 and a Shaji Kailas-Mohanlal project. Though Renji is also working on Velu Thampy Dhalava, to be directed by Viji Thampy, the actor-writer refused to comment on it.

“Yes, I am writing Lelam-2, which is almost complete. If everything goes as planned, we plan to start the shoot by the year end. I am aware of  the amount of interest the project has generated. Then, there is the Shaji Kailas project which I will start writing soon. That project is expected to go on the floors by the beginning of next year,” he says.

However, Renji Panicker refused to comment on the Viji Thampy project, Velu Thampy Dhalava. “I cannot say anything about it at the moment. The project has been in the talks for quite sometime,” he says.

Lelam-2 will be directed by Renji Panicker’s son Nitin Renji Panicker.

Shaji Kailas has earlier told us that his Mohanlal project will be a mass entertainer that will have flavours of his earlier works like Aram Thampuran and Narasimham. It’s the first time the trio are teaming up for a  movie.

Meanwhile, speculations are also rife that Prithviraj has signed Velu Thampy Dhalava. The buzz is that the project will go on the floors in 2019. The movie is said to be a period drama on a huge canvas.
