With the pandemic forcing people to stay in their homes, actor Sreeleela (Kiss) is keeping herself occupied with studies, dance and watching films. "When I look at the terrible things that are happening around, I am just like 'Oh God'. I am glad that the government has been taking initiatives and measures for people to isolate themselves. Initially, when the second wave hit, nobody cared much. Earlier this year, the count had reduced a lot but now, the situation is really worrisome," says Sreeleela.
The Bharaate actor is making her Tollywood debut with Pelli Sandadi. She is paired opposite Roshan Meka in the film directed by debutant Gowri. The entire project is supervised by veteran director and producer K Raghavendra Rao. Sreeleela, who was juggling between shooting for director Hari Santhosh's ByTwoLove and this Telugu film, managed to complete major portions of both just before the lockdown.
Speaking about her experience of working in a Telugu film for the first time, the actor says that she doesn't find much difference between the two industries. "The set is the same, only the language is different. Some people on the sets even spoke to me in Kannada at times and made sure I was comfortable," she says.
Sreeleela also confirms that she will next appear alongside Telugu star Ravi Teja. "When I first got the offer, I went, 'Me? Really?' Eventually, I warmed up to the idea. The story made sense, and I am happy to be a part of it. This is the next acting assignment I will begin once the pandemic subsides and we are allowed to shoot," she reveals.
Apart from the above-mentioned projects, Sreeleela has also signed a project opposite Dhruva Sarja. The project is yet to go on floors.
Sreeleela, who wants to be a doctor, is simultaneously focusing on her education. In fact, studies are what she considers as a break from acting. "Dancing to some good music is another form of relaxation," she says, adding that she also makes time to watch movies of different genres. "Till now, I have worked in colourful films. I am interested in being part of other genres as well. I am making use of this lockdown to watch various films, to expand my knowledge of cinema," she signs off.
