IAS officer Abhishek Singh is making an appearance in Delhi Crime season 2. Abhishek is posted as Deputy Commissioner in Delhi and has worked on a short film before. 

Speaking about his role in Delhi Crime, he shares, “Like in real life, I am playing an IAS officer in the show. The part came naturally to me, though acting is different. In every scene, there’s some drama to evoke the audience’s interest. I had to work on my body language, speech, gestures… It’s an interesting process, and it makes you conscious of every moment.” 

Abhishek has been engaged in several humanitarian efforts during the covid-19 pandemic. Recently, he launched an online portal ‘United by Blood’ for plasma dissemination. The portal aims to bring together donors and receivers effectively. 

“Throughout the pandemic, there was a lot of information getting shared asymmetrically online. A lot of people who recovered from covid and had antibodies wanted to donate plasma but did not know how to. The portal helped them reach thousands of people,” says Abhishek, who also started an oxygen delivery system and a mobile vaccination drive based on the idea. 

Last year, in addition to the Delhi Crime announcement, Abhishek made an appearance in B Praak’s music video Dil Tod Ke. This was followed by a collaboration with Jubin Nautiyal on the hit track Tujhe Bhoolna Toh Chaaha.

“I’m also doing another song with Badshah,” Abhishek shares. “It’s a dance number and should pack a surprise. I am also doing a movie that I am waiting to be announced by the producers.”
