The shooting of Shreyas’ debut film, Paddehulli, directed by Guru Deshpande, is close to 60 per cent complete. The film is said to be a love story that blends action and drama.

The director says he’s ‘happy’ with the way the film is shaping up. “The leads, Shreyas Manju and Nishvika Naidu, share a good on-screen chemistry. Padehulli gives Shreyas an opportunity to try out various shades (lover boy, emotions, fights). I found him to be good in the action sequences. With his expressive eyes and acting skills, if he pursues the right films, he stands a good chance of becoming a mass hero,” he tells us.

Incidentally, the film, which brings together Ravichandran and Sudharani after a long time, has the former playing the role of a Kannada teacher.

Guru is currently concentrating on the film’s music composed by Ajaneesh B Loknath. “Since this is a music-based film, we want unique songs. We are working on the details of the soundtrack now,” he says.

The next schedule of the film will begin on July 31 in Bengaluru. Paddehulli also stars  Aishwarya Prasad, Amit, Dharma, Vinayak Joshi and has cinematography by KS Chandrashekar.
