Shriya Saran, who was last seen in Paisa Vasool, is gearing up to appear in a village belle avatar in her upcoming film Gayatri. Slated to release on February 9, the family entertainer also features Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu and Nikhila Vimal in prominent roles.

“My role in Gayatri has depth and significance. I play a traditional village girl and when director Madan narrated about my role, I liked the innocence and honesty attached to it and instantly gave the go ahead,” reveals Shriya.

She says she was blown away by the aura of Mohan Babu and calls him an inspiration. “I once heard Mohan Babu garu speak about his life and I was really amazed by his journey. He stands as an inspiration to many people and I admire his dedication and hard work. He has a great sense of humour and we all are delighted to work with him,” she adds.

Produced by Mohan Babu, the film sees the Assembly Rowdy actor in a dual role as hero and villain. SS Thaman has scored the music for the film, which is designed to be Mohan Babu's comeback vehicle.
