‘Mayabazaar is a pure entertainer, no political angle’

A Sharadhaa

Puneeth Rajkumar’s second stint in production - Mayabazaar - made under PRK banner, is currently rolling, and debutant director Radhakrihsna Reddy is glad to have everything on track. The film’s second schedule has begun with Prakash Raj and Raj B Shetty joining the sets. The film features Chaithra Rao, along with Vasistha Simha, Sudharani and Achyuth Kumar.

We spoke to the director on the film’s progress. "Till date, it is going on as per my visualisation, and more importantly, for a newcomer, I am getting everybody's cooperation. The team is going all out for this project," he says.

Reports claimed that Mayabazaar is about GST, and revolves around politics, which Reddy denies. "It is a non-political film, a pure entertainer. Even I have heard and read about the reports surrounding my film, but I have remained silent about it. All I can say is the film has too many layers, and somewhere down the line, the whole film will be justified. It is about three people and their struggles, no political strings attached."

Reddy also mentions that having Puneeth as a producer is a director’s dream come true. "I can say without any exaggeration that I have gotten the right hands involved in this film. Puneeth, along with producer M Govinda, will not only visit the sets of the film, but will keep a check on its progress."

The film has dialogues written by KB Pavan, with art directon by Sureh Baganur and music by Midun Mukundan.
