Inder Kumar, the producer of Arun Vijay’s Kuttram 23, is making his acting debut in today’s release, Kodiveeran. Talking about his character, he says, “I play Adhigaram, Poorna’s husband, who happens to be Pasupathi’s sister. My character is a troublemaker who creates problems in the family.”

When director Muthiah’s office called him, the young actor thought it was a prank call. “His assistant directors called me, and I assumed it was a prank. I even cut the calls. Then the director met me in person. He only revealed my character’s name to me, and I immediately agreed. I didn’t even listen to the script. The name alone gave me the confidence that it’ll be a role to remember,” says the producer who wasn’t apprehensive of making his debut in a rural film. “Of course there were challenges, but it was a good experience on the whole.”

On the production front, post the success of Kuttram 23, Inder Kumar is currently making Thadam, again with Arun Vijay in the lead. “The film is nearing completion with only ten days of shoot remaining. We’re eyeing a release date in March.”
