Chaya Singh makes a comeback with Mufti

Sriimurali starrer Mufti created quite the hype when senior actor Shivarajkumar was brought on board. The film is now set to generate another round of buzz with the team roping in popular Kannada heroine Chaya Singh. This will be a come back film for the actress, whose last outing in Kannada cinema was in 2008.

Although not much has been revealed about her character in Mufti, CE hears she plays a pivotal role and has been taking part  in the shoots. More details will be revealed by the makers in the coming days. The film also stars Shanvi Srivastava as the female lead, with Vasishta Simha playing the antagonist.

Chaya started her film career in Kannada cinema and has acted in some memorable films such as Thuntata and Akashagange. She is also an established actress in other south Indian languages and has been busy on the small screen with teleserials. 

Mufti, which is now in the last leg of shoot, will be Narthan’s directorial debut. The film is set to be completed in the next schedule. Made under Jayanna Combines, Mufti has music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Naveen.
