Fans and the Sandalwood film fraternity seem to always reminisce the magnanimity of Malavalli Huchche Gowda Amarnath popularly known as Rebel Star Ambareesh. On his 68th birthday anniversary, his son Abishek lists out his favourite films of his father.

Antha was an iconic film because that was the movie that made my dad a superstar''Chakravyuha (1983), directed by V Somashekar , co-starring Ambika, took his career to greater heights. The film gave him the title Rebel Star. Also, it is South India's Scarface''Aahuti (1985), directed by TS Nagabharana, paired my parents together for the first time. They went on to marry in 1991. In a way, if that movie wouldn't have happened, I wouldn't have happened'Mrugalaya(1986) directed by V. Somashekhar. featured him in the role of a Zoo officer.
