Akshay Kumar was initially offered the role of Baazigar, but he turned it down due to its negativity.

Arbaaz Khan turned it down for the same reason and then went on to do a full fledged negative role in Abbas-Mastan's Daraar (1996)

Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan also rejected the role for the same reason.

Ayesha Jhulka was approached for Kajol's role, but she declined it.

Shahrukh Khan's favorite song 'Saamajh Kar Chaand' was edited out of the film. Shah Rukh shot the song but the directors felt the film was getting to long

This film was released just 42 days before 'Darr', another film in which Shahrukh played a villainous role and turned out to be a critical and commercial success.

The opening lines of 'Baazigar O Baazigar' was sampled from the first few lines of Kaun Hain Jo Sapno Mein from Jhuk Gaya Aasman. That song was inspired by Elvis Presley song Margaritta.

At 3:15 of the song 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen ' from Baazigar was inspired from the main chorus of the song 'Yeke Yeke'.

What Dalip Tahil's character does to Ananth Narayan Mahadevan's character in this film, is the same that Amrish Puri's character did to Dalip Tahil's in 'Ram Lakhan' (1988). Both had Rakhee.
