Arvind Swami brings alive the iconic look of MGR from his 'Ungal Veettu Pillai' song from the 1968 film, Pudhiya Boomi. The film also starred J Jayalalithaa as the female lead.

Arvind Swami nails the MGR look & body language in brand new teaser of Kangana Ranaut 's Thalaivi

The short video clip has Arvind Swami tastefully imitating the former TN chief minster's body language and mannerisms.

Kangana plays MGR's political successor and former TN chief minister Jayalalithaa in this biopic, titled Thalaivi.

Thalaivi is directed by Vijay, who had earlier directed the Tamil film, Thalaivaa, starring Vijay.

Thalaivi is co-produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh.

Kangana's look as Jayalalithaa, which involved extensive prosthetics, was released in December last year.

Thalaivi will apparently be released in multiple languages. It will be titled the same in all languages.

Thalaivi is scheduled to release on June 26, 2020.
