Right after he briefly attempted a massy role in Sindhubaadh, Vijay Sethupathi goes full mass mode in Sangathamizhan.

From the heavy metal guitar riffs by Vivek-Mervin, sliding bikes, revolving cars, MGR nametag, to the slo-mo walking shots in natural sepia, this is clearly a no-holds-barred role for Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi plays a dual role - Sangamithran and Thamizharasan - for the first time in his career in Sanga Tamizhan.

Nivetha Pethuraj plays Thamizharasan's love interest

Raashi Khanna plays Sangamithran's pair in the film.

Though it is clear that Vijay Sethupathi is having a lot of fun, seriousness soon kicks in as politics, problems, and the need for social justice steps in.

Sources suggest that Sanga Thamizhan might have references to the sterlite plant in Thoothukudi, as one of the leads is seen protesting against a factory which affects the livelihood of people.

Sanga Thamizhan is directed by Vaalu fame Vijay Chander.

Bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, the film has Velraj handling the cinematography and Praveen KL in charge of editing duties.

Also starring Soori, Nassar, Sriman, and Ashutosh Rana in supporting roles, Sanga Thamizh is ecpected to get a release in October.
