In his long film career, we've seen the actor play some versatile roles over the years. Let's take a look at some of his past and future roles

Simbu began his career as a child artiste with Uravai Kaatha Kili, when he was one-year-old. Enga Veetu Velan is considered the best work of the Little Superstar
Manmadhan (2004): The film gave an irreplaceable identity to Simbu and it marked his debut as script writer.
Kuththu (2004): The A Venkatesh directorial was an all-centre hit and it took Simbu to the masses.
Vallavan (2006): The directorial debut of Simbu became the talk of the industry due to its unapologetic take on the relationship between a college professor and a student.
Kovil (2004): The Hari entertainer explored the softer side of the actor and was a huge hit thanks to the family audience.
Silambattam (2008): The quirky blend of adult comedy and revenge drama featured Simbu in dual roles for the second time. The actor got beefed up and gained weight to play the role of Tamizharasan.
Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010): The romantic drama redefined the trend of love stories in Kollywood and made Simbu a heart throb among girls. Also his epithet got updated to Young Superstar.
Vaanam (2011): The multi-starrer is considered one of the best performances of the actor. 'Enna vazhakai da' is still the favourite dialogue of a lot of Simbu fans.
Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016): The genre bending film became a blockbuster, despite the delayed release. Interestingly, Simbu's character was named Rajinikanth.
Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (2018): The multi-starrer served as a proper comeback film for Simbu. The Mani Ratnam directorial featured him in a tailor-made role, and his performance was unanimously lauded
