Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming mini-series Griselda, starring Sofia Vergara as the titular character. The show will stream on Netflix on January 25. 

The series chronicles the life of Griselda Blanco, who is also known as the Black Widow or Cocaine Godmother, a notorious cocaine trafficker who dominated the cocaine-based drug trade and the underworld of Miami, Florida, from the 1970s to the early 2000s.

Apart from Sofia Vergara, the series also stars Alberto Guerra, Christian Tappan, Martín Rodríguez, Juliana Aidén Martinez, Vanessa Ferlito, Fredy Yate, Paulina Dávila, José Zúñiga, Camilo Jiménez Varón, Julieth Restrepo, Gabriel Sloyer, Diego Trujillo and Alberto Amann.

Griselda is created by Netflix's much-celebrated series Narcos' showrunners Eric Newman and Andrés Baiz, with Baiz directing all eight episodes. The series is written by Ingrid Escajeda and Doug Miro.
