Sunny Leone, whose previous major appearance was in Himesh Reshmiyya-starrer Badass Ravikumar, recently had a release with Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy that had its OTT premiere a few days ago. In the noir-thriller led by Rahul Bhat, Sunny plays the role of Charlie, a rich, mysterious woman who, under her chuckles, carries a deep personal loss. In a recent statement, Sunny spoke about her preparation and working experience on the film.

Talking about how she prepared for the role, Sunny said, “I just listened to my director Anurag and followed his vision, while also adding my own thoughts and feelings where I could. We aligned on how the character turned out, and that was really nice. There are moments in this industry where everyone just wants you to keep talking, and sometimes that isn’t needed.” Praising her director for his clarity, Sunny added, “You may have your own idea of how to do a scene, but every filmmaker, writer, director, and producer has their own take. Fortunately, on an Anurag set, he’s the final word. He’s the person you deal with - there’s nobody else telling him what to do and that’s actually quite amazing to be around.”

When asked if there was any intense memory from the shoot, the Jism 2 actor noted, “The shooting part of it was not as difficult as people think because of all the prep work. So, I don't know about intense memories. I have happy memories. So it was great.

When asked about that one detail which audience should watch out for, Sunny said, “She pretty much has all her feelings and emotions out there in certain moments and hides them in most of them. But I think it's more about just enjoying the character.”

Kennedy is streaming on ZEE5. The film also stars Aamir Dalvi, Aamir Aziz, Abhilash Thapliyal, and Mohit Takalkar in key roles.
