After the positive response for the first season of their show Family Kirana Store, The Viral Fever (TVF) has now officially announced a second season for it. Mounted as a slice-of-life drama, Family Kirana Store's first season follows Gajanand (Shrikant Verma), and his family as they navigate the joys and challenges of running a neighbourhood kirana store. Also starring Garima Vikrant Singh and Hemant Mishra, the series promises to return with the warmth, humour, nostalgia and heartfelt everyday family moments that TVF is known for. Filming for Family Kirana Store season 2 is set to commence next week.
Meanwhile, the first season, which is written by Hemant Mishra and Prakhar Sharma and directed by Prakhar Sharma and Saksham Arora, is available to stream on YouTube, where it premiered in February. The ensemble cast for the series included Baishali Sinha, Abhishek Jha, and Mihir Rajda.
It is worth noting that YouTube has played an integral role in TVF’s journey, with shows such as Aspirants, Sapne Vs Everyone, and Kota Factory finding their audience on the streamer before other streaming platforms.
TVF has a power-packed line up of projects, including the Siddharth Malhotra starrer Vvan, College Fest, or Vansh. Additionally, there are also upcoming seasons of much-acclaimed shows like Aspirants, Panchayat, Gram Chikitsalay, Sapne vs Everyone, and Sandeep Bhaiya in the pipeline.
TVF’s other recent projects include The Pyramid Scheme and Gram Chikitsalay, both of which began streaming in June. The reputed production house already has several titles in IMDb’s Top 250 TV Shows list, including TVF Pitchers (64), Panchayat (70), Gullak (74), Kota Factory (86), Aspirants (130) and Yeh Meri Family (183).
