Kanna Ravi, who was last seen in Rajinikanth's Coolie, is awaiting the release of his upcoming series Veduvan, the trailer for which was unveiled by Zee5 on Saturday. Written and directed by Pavan, the series is scheduled to hit the OTT platform on October 10.

The almost two-minute-long trailer sets the stage for the protagonist Kanna Ravi and the antagonist, played by Sanjeev Venkat. As per the plotline revealed by the makers, "The series follows Sooraj (Kanna Ravi), a struggling actor who lands the role of encounter specialist Arun in a biopic. What begins as just another chance at reviving his career quickly turns into something deeper, as Sooraj discovers Arun’s life was filled with secrets, high-stakes missions, and impossible choices. As reel and real start to blur, Sooraj is drawn into a gripping tale where duty, love, and morality collide."

Apart from Kanna Ravi and Sanjeev, the series also stars Sravnitha Srikanth, Aishwarya Raghupathi, Vinusha Devi, Lavanya, Rekha Nair, Parvathy, and Jeeva Ravi. It is backed by Sreenidhi Sagar of RiseEast and has music by Vibin Bhaskar.

Speaking about his role, Kanna Ravi said, "Playing Sooraj meant not only stepping into the life of a struggling actor, but also living through Arun’s battles, his choices, and his sacrifices. It’s a story about how far people go for duty, for love, and for redemption. As an actor, it challenged me in ways that left a mark far beyond the screen.”

Director Pavan Kumar said that his vision was to tell a story that is both intimate and universal. "Every character is crafted with shades of grey, and every decision they make comes at a cost. I wanted to create a series that doesn’t just entertain but also provokes reflection, leaving viewers questioning what they themselves would do in such circumstances," he added.
