GV Prakash's latest thriller Blackmail, directed by Mu Muran, is all set to premiere on OTT, more than a month after its theatrical release. Sharing an official announcement, SunNXT had revealed that the film will be available to stream on their platform from October 30.

Upon release on September 12 after significant delays, the thriller received mixed responses from audience and critics. Our CE review of the film read, "Blackmail tries to be a serious film with a layered story. It has enough characters with distinct personalities for us to remember them. But the writing pulls the rug from underneath every ambition it has."

Mu Maran has previously helmed Iravukku Aayiram Kangal starring Arulnidhi and Kannai Nambathey starring Udhayanidhi Stalin. Blackmail was his third directorial.

The cast also features Muthukumar, Redin Kingsley, Ramesh Thilak, Hari Priya, and other notable actors.

The technical team of Blackmail includes composer, Sam CS, editor San Lokesh, and cinematographer Gokul Benoy, known for his work on the recent Jiiva-starrer Black. The film was backed by A Deivakani and Jayakkodi Amalraj under the JDS Film Factory.
