The fourth season of Netflix's most popular period drama, Bridgerton, is currently in the making. Netflix recently teased with the first official poster from its upcoming season, introducing Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek, dressed in a silver-white gown and holding a mask behind her back. Even before the premiere of the fourth season, the series, developed by Shonda Rhimes's Shondaland, is renewed till season six.

While Netflix previously announced that the series is scheduled for a premiere in 2026, the streamer is yet to officially announce the release dates. However, it seems like the OTT platform accidentally revealed the same through its Netflix Netherlands Instagram handle.

As per a report on WhatsOnNetflix, the handle shared a post, which is no longer available, revealing that the fourth season will also premiere in 2 parts, just like season 3. With the first part slated for January 29, the second part is set to premiere on February 26, 2026. However, the official announcement from Netflix is awaited.

Each season of Bridgerton focuses on a different member of the Bridgerton family, and each new lead brings a fresh dynamic to the beloved period series. While the first season, released in 2020, centred on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Rege-Jean Page), the second season revolved around Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). The third season, released on the streamer last year in two parts between May and June 2024, focused on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

Season 4, comprising eight episodes, will shift its focus to Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the bohemian second son of the Bridgerton family. Despite seeing both his older and younger brothers happily married, Benedict remains reluctant to settle down. However, his world changes when he meets the mysterious Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball, sparking a romance that promises to be full of intrigue. The story will be based on Julia Quinn's third Bridgerton novel, titled An Offer From a Gentleman.

Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek is a young maid serving the formidable Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung). The upcoming season wrapped filming in June. The new cast members include Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun (Sophie’s stepmother) and Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei as Sophie’s stepsisters Rosamund and Posy Li. The returning members include Nicola Coughlan, Luke Newton, Jonathan Bailey, Adjoa Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel, Simone Ashley, Florence Hunt, and Claudia Jessie. Julie Andrews returns to voice the role of Lady Whistledown, whose identity as Penelope Featherington was revealed in the previous season.
