A sports drama, Rambo will get a direct premiere on October 10 on SunNXT OTT platform

Arulnithi is Rambo, a fierce kick-boxer, but beyond all his fury and his fight inside the ring, there awaits a bigger battle for him. The first trailer for Rambo, Arulnithi's upcoming film directed by Muthaiya is suggestive of this story. The almost two-minute-long trailer shows montages of Arulnithi's preparation for his matches. A worthy opponent arrives who transforms his world, no longer making his fights inside the ring his biggest goal.

A sports drama, Rambo will get a direct premiere on October 10 on SunNXT OTT platform, a first for Arulnithi as well as Muthaiah. It is to be noted that his 2021 film Pulikkuthi Pandi, starring Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon, had a direct release on Sun TV.

Rambo marks the first collaboration between Arulnithi and Muthaiya. Apart from Rambo, Muthaiya is also working on Sullan Sethu, which has son Vijay making his acting debut. Known for making rooted film in the southern part of Tamil Nadu, Rambo looks to be a departure from Muthaiya's filmmaking style.

The film also stars Abhirami, Tanya Ravichandran, Aysha, and VTV Ganesh in crucial roles.

With Rambo, Muthaiya reunites with music composer Ghibran Vaibodha after over a decade since the former's debut outing, Kutti Puli (2013), starring Sasikumar. The rest of the technical crew comprises cinematographer RD Rajasekar and editor Venkat Raajen.

Last starred in Demonte Colony 2, Arulnithi will also be seen in the horror franchise's third film, which is currently under production.
