After a long wait, Halitha Shameem's Minmini has arrived on OTT platform Zee5. The film, which is the director's dream project, stars Esther Anil, Praveen Kishore, and Gaurav Kalai in lead roles.
A coming-of-age film that follows two youngsters who carry survivors’ guilt, the film was released in theatres on August 9 last year. It was shot over seven years to show the real growth of the actors Gaurav Kaalai and Praveen Kishore from her debut film Poovarasam Peepee (2014).
Announcing the release of her film on OTT, Halitha wrote on X, "On this day, in 2014, my first film Poovarasam Peepee was released. Also, Minmini is streaming on ZEE5 Tamil from today!"
Minmini marked Khatija Rahman's debut in composing music. The film had cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa who also produced the film. Raymond Derrick Crasta had handled the editing.
Halitha is also known for her films Sillu Karupatti (2019) and Aelay (2021). She also directed a segment in Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa (2022).
