Salman Khan’s action-thriller Sikandar will be released on Netflix on May 25, the streaming platform announced on Saturday. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kishore, Prateik Smita Patil, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan and Jatin Sarna in pivotal roles.

In the film, Salman plays Sanjay, the benevolent king of Rajkot, who gets involved in a fight with the son of a local politician. After his wife, played by Rashmika, dies, Sanjay vows to protect the lives of those who are living on the organs donated by her.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film features music by Pritam and background score by Santhosh Narayanan. It released in theatres on March 30 and was met with mostly negative reviews. As per Sacnilk, the film did a miniscule business of Rs 110 crore at the box-office.
