The Accountant 2, starring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal in lead roles, will premiere on Prime Video on June 5. The film premiered at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival on March 8, 2025. It was later released theatrically on April 25, 2025, and opened to positive reviews.

The Accountant 2 sees the return of Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Wolf of Wall Street) as brothers Christian and Braxton Wolff. J K Simmons and Cynthia Addai-Robinson also reprise their roles from The Accountant.

The Accountant introduced Ben Affleck as the autistic genius Christian Wolff and Jon Bernthal as his brother Braxton. They are the sons of a military officer who refuses to treat Christian's autism the conventional way and instead trains both brothers through his methods. As an adult, Christian is a forensic accountant for criminal organisations, and the film shows him uncovering the truth about a company he audits and the events that follow.

The official description of The Accountant 2 reads, “Christian Wolff has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant”, Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realising more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax, to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.”

Gavin O'Connor and Bill Dubuque have returned as the director and writer for the film, which Amazon MGM Studios has produced.
