After weeks of successful theatrical runs in packed cinemas, Basil Joseph and Nazriya Nazim's latest film, Sookshmadarshini, is now set to premiere on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.. The streamer posted on their social media handles that the film will be released on their platform on January 11.

Sookshmadarshini was directed by MC Jithin, who made his directorial debut with the 2018 film Nonsense. The film is scripted jointly by Libin TB and Athul Ramachandran.

It also stars Deepak Parambol, Sidharth Bharathan, Kottayam Ramesh, Manohari Joy, Premalu-fame Akhila Bhargavan, Aavesham actor Pooja Mohanraj, Merin Philip, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Nandan Unni.

Upon its release on November 22, the film was critically and commercially acclaimed. What stands out is the refreshing treatment that doesn't conform to the genre formulas."

The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan, music director Christo Xavier, and editor Chaman Chakko. It is produced by Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and AV Anoop under the banners of Happy Hours Entertainments and AVA Productions.
