Yogi Babu's latest film Boat is set to be released soon on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Director Venkat Prabhu took to his social media handles to announce that the Chimbu Deven-directorial will hit the platform on October 1.

Apart from Yogi Babu, the film also starred Gouri G Kishan, Madumkesh Prem, MS Bhaskar, Chinni Jayanth, Jesse Fox-Allen, Chaams, Madhumitha, Sha Ra, Kollapuli Leela and Aakshath Das.

Maali and Maanvi Movie Makers and Chimbudeven Entertainment had backed the film, which was distributed by Shakthi Film Factory.

The film, which hit theatres on August 2, received mixed reviews from audience and critics. Our review of the film read, "Boat promises a thrilling voyage but instead finds itself adrift in a sea of cliches. The director, as the captain, steers the vessel towards a rocky shore of heavy-handed social commentary, rather than the open sea of human complexity. While the ocean of possibilities was vast, Boat remains a small, leaky vessel, unable to withstand the tempestuous waves of its own ambition."

With cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, Boat features music by Ghibran, editing by Mani Maran and production design by T Santhanam.
