Director SD Manipaul's Saala is all set to premiere on Aha Tamil on September 20. The streamer made the announcement on Monday. The film hit theatres on August 23 and opened to average reviews.

Saala, starring debutant Dheeran in the lead as Solomon, aka Saala, deals with socially pertinent evils like alcoholism. The narration, according to the makers, revolves around a feud over running a wine shop on lease between two rancorous people, of which Solomon is one.

Apart from Dheeran, Saala also stars debutant Reshma, who plays the female lead, Charles Vinoth, Srinath, Arul Das, and Sampath Ram.

First-time director SD Manipaul had worked as an assistant director to director Prabhu Solomon in Thodari (2016), Kumki 2 (yet to release), and Kaadan (2021).

The technical crew of Saala includes cinematographer Ravindranath Guru, music composer Theeseon, art director Vairabalan, editor Bhuvan, and stunt directors Magesh Mathew and 'Rugger' Ram.
