We had earlier reported that Disney+ Hotstar has announced a web series titled Uppu Puli Kaaram. The makers have now revealed that the series will be released on May 30.

Uppu Puli Kaaram has been directed by M. Ramesh Baarathi who has previously directed Pistha (2022), starring Metro Shirish and Mrudula Murali in lead roles. This series will mark his OTT debut.

The ensemble cast of Uppu Puli Kaaram includes Ponvannan, Vanitha, Ayesha, Naveen, Ashwini, Dheepika, Krishna, Farina and Raj Ayyappa among others. Touted to be a fun and lighthearted entertainer, the series is expected to revolve around modern love, relationships and aspects of life which will be related to the youth of today.

Uppu Puli Kaaram's production is handled by Vikatan Televistas, which has already produced the horror series, November Story, starring Tamannaah in lead, for Hotstar in 2021. The series has music by Sheik and cinematography by Parthiban and Sathish Kumar.
