Netflix's limited series Untamed to star Eric Bana

The Netflix limited series Untamed, is all set to star Eric Bana in the lead role. The six-part series comes from Mark L Smith and his daughter Elle Smith.

A character driven mystery thriller, Untamed will see Bana as Eric Inman, "a special agent for the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature’s vast wilderness. The investigation of a brutal death sends Inman on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park, and in his own past."

The father-daughter duo and Bana are also executive producing the series. John Wells Productions' John Wells and Erin Jontow, Escape Artists Entertainment's Todd Black and Tony Shaw, Bee Holder Productions' Steve Lee Jones, and Syndicate Entertainment's Cliff Roberts are also executive producers.

Mark L Smith is a regular collaborator for Netflix. Untamed is his third prject for the streamer as he is already penning the Western drama American Primeval and the Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer series adaptation of the novel The 39 Steps. George Clooney's Midnight Sky, which premiere on Netflix in 2020, is also written by Smith.

In her first writing credit, Elle Smith collaborated with her father on the screenplay for The Marsh King's Daughter, an adaptation of Karen Dionne's novel.
