On Tuesday, Prime Video announced that their upcoming original series, The Bondsman starring Kevin Bacon has begun production. The action series comes from creator Grainger David.

David is known for the short film The Chair. This upcoming series marks a reunion between Prime Video and Bacon, after the two previously collaborated on I Love Dick.

With eight-episodes of half hours each, The Bondsman will be showrun by Erik Oleson under his CrimeThink production company.

Bacon plays Hub Halloran, a bounty hunter from the backwoods who gets a second chance at love, life and a forgotten music career, after coming back from the dead. However, he is posed by a cryptic devilish threat from his old job as an assassin. The series is based on an original idea from David.
