OTT platform Aha Tamil took to its X handle to announce that the recently-released film Rail, directed by Bhaskar Sakthi will be available to stream on its site and app from August 2.

The film aimed to shed light on the challenges and prejudices faced by migrant workers in Tamil Nadu through a story inspired by real-life incidents.

Rail features a bunch of newcomers in the lead roles, including Kunguma Raj and Vairamala. Others on the cast include Ramesh Vaidya, Parvez Mehru, Shamira, Kodchadaisendhil, Vairam Patti, Pindu, and Vandana.

The film, which was released in theatres on June 21, received mixed to positive reviews from critics and audience. Our CE review of the film read, "Coming at a time when affinity towards regional identity might be construed as animosity towards people of the other region and, on the flip side, jingoism is trying to subsume regional identities, Rail, not feeding on these populist ideas, has taken an unpopular but welcome stance."

Rail's technical crew comprises music composer SJ Janani, cinematographer Theni Easwar and editor Nagooran.
