Netflix unveiled the first-look images of The Platform 2, the sequel to the 2019 social science fiction horror film The Platform. The sequel is also helmed by the director of the original, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.

The film is set in a dystopian prison where the rules for food intake are extremely intense and unfair. The official logline of The Platform 2 reads, "A mysterious figure has managed to establish a new law in The Platform, but can justice truly be enforced in hell? And who will enforce it?"

Milena Smit and Hovik Keuchkerian star in lead roles in The Platform 2. The first-look images feature prisoners in a scary look, in a red light which makes the viewers uncomfortable. There seems to be a horror element existing in the prison.

The Platform revolves around a prison where inmates are fed on a descending platform, those on the upper levels take more than their fair share while those below are left to starve on scraps, and one man decides to change the system.

The Platform 2 is currently in production and is yet to get a release date.
