Saltburn, which hit selected theatres on November 17, and opened widely for Thanksgiving, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 22. The film is written and directed by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell.

"Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton, who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten," reads the synopsis of the film.

Saltburn stars an ensemble cast, including Rosamund Pike, Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver and Archie Madekwe, among others. The film is set against the backdrop of mid-2000s and was shot across the locations of UK.

Saltburn marks Fennell's sophomore directorial after the Oscar-winning 2020 film, Promising Young Woman, which was nominated for a few categories at the 93rd Academy Awards, including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actress, and Best Film Editing. Fennell went on to win Best Original Screenplay.

Fennell also served as the scriptwriter of Saltburn.
