Santhanam's latest outing at the theatres, 80s Buildup, is now available to stream on Prime Video. The film is written and directed by Kalyaan. It hit theatres on November 24 and opened to negative reviews.
Apart from Santhanam, 80s Buildup also features Radhika Preethi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Rajendran, Redin Kingsley, KS Ravikumar, and Thangadurai, among others. Late actors Mayilsamy and Manobala are also seen in 80s Buildup in prominent roles.
Set in the 1980s, the film features Santhanam as a huge fan of Kamal Haasan while his grandfather is an ardent Rajinikanth fan. Speaking to CE earlier, the director had said, “It is a comedy film with a fantasy element. The film is set in a bereaving household and will happen in a span of one day.”
S Kalyaan has previously helmed Jackpot, Ghosty, and Gulaebaghavali. 80s Buildup is backed by KE Gnanavel’s Studio Green banner.
