The trailer of Manju Warrier's upcoming release Ayisha has been released. It looks like an empowering story of an ordinary Malayali woman, who moves to the Gulf to work as a maid in a huge mansion. The film, predominantly shot in the Middle East, is billed as a cross-cultural family entertainer that will be released in Arabic as well.

Ayisha is directed by debutant Aamir Pallikkal, and scripted by Ashif Kakkodi, who wrote Halal Love Story and the upcoming Momo In Dubai. Filmmaker Zakariya is backing the film along with Shamsudheen MT, Harris Desom, PB Anish and Zakariya Vavad. Its technical crew includes cinematographer Vishnu Sharma, editor Appu N Bhattathiri and music composer M Jayachandran.

Ayisha is set to release in theatres on January 20.
