Director Vinayan's period epic Pathonpatham Noottandu got released in theatres on 8 September during the Onam season, and it continues to have a decent run at the box office. The film tells the story of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, an Ezhava warrior who fought against social injustices. Siju Wilson played the lead role in the film. The actor had put in a lot of efforts to get himself ready for the character.

The makers have shared a 10-minute-long video on social video which follows Siju's transformation. Prior to shoot, the actor had to go through rigorous sessions to shed his body weight and build a warrior's physique. He also got formally trained in kalaripayattu, horse riding and calisthenics. The video has glimpses from the training sessions and experts narrating how Siju went through the process.

Pathonpatham Noottandu also starred Kayadu Lohar (as Nangeli) and Chemban Vinod Jose (as Kayamkulam Kochunni), Anoop Menon, Sudev Nair, Deepti Sati, Poonam Bajwa and Vishnu Vinay in major roles. It is produced by Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movies.

Siju Wilson will be next seen in a major role in Saturday Night, which has him Premam co-star and longtim friend Nivin Pauly as the lead.
